Special Effects SLR Lens, with Double Glass Optic
The Lensbabies Lensbaby Composer Special Effects SLR Lens is part of the Lensbaby series of SLR lenses, and offers the same spectacular special-effect results. However, the Composer introduces a completely new design. Based on a ball and socket configuration, this version allows for smoother selective focus control.
The Composer will retain its position after being bent, which makes it easy to use even with one hand. Users also no longer have to squeeze the lens to focus, they can simply tilt the lens to a desired angle and then focus with a traditional barrel focusing ring.
A Lensbaby lens is a hybrid between a bellows camera and a tilt-shift camera. It allows for selective focusing with SLR cameras. It will bring one area of a photo into sharp focus, surrounded by gradually increasing blur. Effects like blurring, glowing highlights, and subtle, prismatic color distortions can all be achieved without software manipulations. The lens can be bent off-center in any direction for different results.
The Composer features the Optic Swap System. Lensbabies has developed a line of different "optics" that can be interchanged with the Muse and Composer versions. This provides artists with an almost unlimited variety of looks and styles to capture their unique visions.
The Composer comes supplied with the Double Glass Optic, which provides the sharpest focus in its range. It offers a tack sharp sweet spot, with minimal diffusion at all aperture settings. Also available optionally are the Plastic optic for an ultra-soft and ethereal look, the Single Glass for that vintage look, or the Pinhole/Zone Plate for softer, dreamier focus images that are equally sharp from edge to edge.
Features
- No electronic communication is possible between the camera and the lens. All operation is strictly manual. Automatic light metering is possible by shooting in aperture priority mode with almost all digital and film SLR camera bodies.
- The lens aperture can be changed by inserting different size aperture discs.
- The Composer features a unique manual focus design which requires more rotation to move the optic as you approach infinity. This makes it easier to focus on objects at intermediate and distant depths than regular manual focus lenses.

Optic Kit
This Lensbabies Lensbaby Optic Kit is part of the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, and includes the Plastic, Pinhole/Zone Plate, and Single Glass optics.

The Plastic Optic provides the softest, dreamiest look in the line-up of optics. It results in photos that have a very ethereal look, with abundant chromatic aberration.
The Pinhole/Zone Plate Optic lets you shift easily back and forth from the pinhole mode to the zone plate mode by simply sliding a toggle inside the optic. In either pinhole or zone plate mode, this optic insert achieves soft focus, dreamy images that are equally sharp from edge to edge.
The Single Glass Optic features a single uncoated optical glass element. It is ideal for fine art, portraiture, black and white images, or any shot requiring a subtle, soft, dreamy effect.
Soft Focus Optic
The Soft Focus Optic creates a velvety soft image perfect for portraits, flowers, landscapes or any subject that needs a soft touch. Soft Focus has a look that is evenly soft throughout the image without the Sweet Spot of sharp focus created by our selective focus optics. You can vary the amount of softness by changing the aperture disks

Fisheye Optic
Turn your Lensbaby Composer into a fun fisheye lens with the Fisheye Optic. The Fisheye Optic's ultra-wide 12mm focal length and 160 degree field of view captures eye-popping fisheye views from infinity all the way down to one inch from the front of your lens. The Fisheye Optic is designed for use with the Composer, and can also be used with the Muse with the purchase of a special adapter.

Sweet 35 Optic
The Sweet 35 Optic is a 35mm selective focus optic with a 12-blade adjustable aperture that creates a tack sharp Sweet Spot of focus surrounded by blur. Experience an unprecedented level of creative control over the size of the Sweet Spot.
The Sweet 35 Optic boasts the widest focal length of any selective focus Lensbaby optic and features close-focus capabilities.

Edge 80 Optic
The Edge 80 Optic is a 80mm, flat field of focus optic with a 12-blade adjustable aperture and is compatible with all Lensbaby lens bodies. When tilted, the Edge 80 delivers a slice of tack sharp focus through the image, bordered by soft blur. When pointed straight ahead, the Edge 80 can be used just like a high-quality straight lens.
When tilted, the size of that slice of focus depends upon the aperture used, and the placement of the slice of focus depends upon the degree and direction of tilt. Rotating the aperture dial on the front of the optic changes between apertures from f/2.8 through f/22.
The Edge 80 also features a special close-focus function. Photographers can extend the front of the optic to focus as close as 17" away from their subject.
An incredibly versatile portrait lens, Edge 80 can also be used to great effect in any situation that lends itself to selective focus - from food photography to giving landscapes a "miniature" appearance.

Super Wide Angle Conversion Lens
Stretch your Lensbaby vision to the max with the 0.42x Super Wide Angle Conversion lens, which converts your Lensbaby lens's focal length from 50mm to 21mm. Specifically designed for compatibility with the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, this 0.42x is lighter and sharper than any comparable product on the market. The 0.42x also has a macro capability, allowing you to focus as close as 2.75" (7 cm) away from the front of your lens.

Wide Angle/Telephoto Conversion Lens Kit
The Lensbaby Wide Angle/Telephoto Kit converts your Lensbaby's 50mm focal length to 30mm, while keeping the "sweet spot" the same size as a Lensbaby photo taken without a wide angle conversion lens (other wide angle conversion lenses shrink the sweet spot).
The 1.6X converts the Lensbaby to 80mm and slightly increases the size of the sweet spot.
These conversion lenses are fully compatible with all Lensbaby SLR lenses.
Note! Slight horizon line distortions (fish eye effect) sometimes occur when the sweet spot is pushed far off center.

Macro Conversion Lens Kit
Want to explore the jungle in your backyard or capture the gleam of a diamond ring in a new way? The Lensbaby Macro Kit allows you to use selective focus on a very small scale. The Lensbaby Macro Kit features one +4 filter and one +10 filter, which can be screwed onto the front of your Lensbaby lens either individually or together, allowing you to focus from 2 inches to 13 inches away.
Accessory bundle
You can bend your Lensbaby to control your focus, change your optics to suit your vision, and with the Creative Aperture Kit you can custom cut your aperture disks into any aperture shape you want. Out of focus specular highlights (bright points of light) in your photos take on the shape of the hole in your aperture disk.
Step-Up/Shade
The Lensbaby Step-up/Shade gives you more artistic control. Standard step-up rings will not work with the Lensbaby Composer, so we created a special 37mm to 52mm step-up ring that fits into the Composer and provides lens shade capability. With the Step-up/Shade you can add 52mm filters to your favorite combination of Lensbaby optic, aperture, and accessory lens, opening up even more creative possibilities.

The removable and adjustable elastic straps inside the bag allow you to customize and carry your favorite Lensbaby shooting set up.
